One of the epicenters of Miami’s current real estate boom has been, unquestionably, Brickell. Just as it was before the crash of 2008, Brickell has seen furious construction, almost unrecognizably transforming the neighborhood yet again.

The Related Group’s MyBrickell, designed by Karim Rashid and Arquitectonica, was one of the earliest completed buildings in this cycle when it finished a few years ago, and of course was located in Brickell. It has been followed by Newgard Development’s BrickellHouse, NINE at Mary Brickell Village, and a couple dozen other projects either still under construction or in the planning stages. A few (like Edge on Brickell) have even been put on hold or canceled. Miami’s next tallest tower, Panorama Tower, is underway. And the first phase of Brickell City Centre, one of the biggest building projects in Miami’s history is nearing completion. This series of drone shots show a Brickell exploding, again.
